As a Systems Engineer you will be involved in design, implementation and ongoing support for Unix platforms (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, Linux, True64). In doing so you will be active in domains like High Availability, Backup/Restore, Storage Management (SAN/NAS), Security, Systems Management, Disaster/Recovery, ...

Your profile

You have several years of experience as a Systems Engineer on one of the major Unix platforms. In doing so, you have become an expert on the OS level, but you also have an integrating view on computing.

If you have knowledge of specific System Software products like HACMP, Service Guard, Veritas products (backup/clustering) or Tivoli products (TSM,TSNM), then this is certainly an advantage. However, your knowledge stems from the real world, not just from books or courses.

In this job, teaming, capacity and eagerness to learn and flexibility are of the utmost importance. Maintenance windows on production systems can be outside of normal working hours, so this is not a 9 to 5 job.

You look forward to taking responsibility and initiative. You communicate with your fellow team members in Dutch, English and French.
