Description As a Storage Systems Engineer you will be involved in design, implementation and ongoing support of storage solutions. You will be active in the following domains: Storage Management of disk and tape storage systems, SAN/NAS/iSCSI, Backup/Restore solutions, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Your profile You have several years of experience as a Systems Engineer on the regular and virtualized storage platform of one or more of the major storage vendors (IBM, Netapp, EMC, Hitachi, HP). You are an expert in these products, but you also know how storage systems integrate in a company's IT infrastructure and you have a broad view on IT infrastructure (computing platforms, networking). Knowledge of one of the major backup/restore products (Tivoli Storage Manager, Symantec Netbackup, Commvault Simpana) is a must. You follow new developments in the storage world and haven an understanding of things like deduplication, storage cloud and FcoE. Your knowledge is not just gained from books or courses, it has already been applied in the real world. Experience in production environments is very important. You know that maintenance on production systems can be outside normal working hours, so this is not a 9 to 5 job. You are also familiar with Problem and Change Management processes and tools. Taking responsibility and initiative, flexibility, eagerness to learn new storage products and systems and a passion for the storage world and beyond are important skills for this job. You are a good team player and able to communicate with your colleagues and customers in Dutch, English and French. Please do only apply when fluent in Dutch.
